About Strawberry Creek Stephanie Tejada, owner and founder, through a love of cooking and fresh food, knowledge of nutrition, and inspiring family recipes, developed and expanded her products from one signature mustard to a line of several unique and flavorful mustards, mayonnaise and sauces. Stephanie grew up in the Northern California Redwood Coast region where Strawberry Creek meets the Pacific Ocean. As a young girl she loved helping her mom and grandmother in the kitchen, where they made everything from scratch—from buttermilk biscuits and macaroni & cheese to chocolate chip cookies and apple pie. Family recipes fueled her passion for cooking: the love of being in the kitchen with her mom and grandma, the scent of freshly baked bread floating through the house and sharing the smiles and laughter over cups of steaming hot cocoa (with marshmallows!). While attending college she created her Sweet Champagne Mustard as a gift giving idea. The mustard was a favorite to all, and that simple idea grew into a bigger idea. She picked the name Strawberry Creek Collection for her company as Strawberry Creek ran near her childhood home and the recipes were a collection of both old family recipes and newly developed ones. Her studies in nutrition and the importance of freshness and quality of ingredients motivated her to create products without artificial colors, flavors or additives. The product line now includes several unique and flavorful mustards, mayonnaise and sauces. Each product is made in small batches with the highest quality ingredients possible. Stephanie created the mustards, but the inspiration for the mayonnaise came from her Grandma Irene who always made her mayonnaise from scratch. For three generations, the special blending of the recipe has made the mayonnaise unique, and that same blending process is still used today. In 2003 we had a great opportunity to relocate the business to Boulder City, Nevada, and then in July 2009 we moved into our new facility where we are still committed to producing the very best natural gourmet condiments. Inspired by her grandma’s recipes, truly the beginning roots of her company, Strawberry Creek Collection carries on tradition today. Grandma would be proud! |
